Gary began his career in the CPG industry in the Accounting department with The Dannon Co. in 1996. In 1998, he began working with the sales team as a Trade Control Analyst supporting Western Divisions, and was also responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable and Deductions departments.
From 2000-2002, Gary supported the Eastern Sales Division first as a Sales Controller then as a Business Analyst. In 2002 he became District Sales Manager and led a dedicated broker retail team for the NY market, as well as calling on accounts such as Fairway Markets and Fresh Direct. From 2004-2009, as an Account and Customer Business Manager in the NY market, Gary led initiatives to include the business development of Hispanic, DSD, and Neighborhood marketing in the inner city.
In 2009, Gary joined the Empire Food Marketing team in the NY market partnering with retailers such as A&P and Stop & Shop. In 2012, Empire Food Marketing expanded its geography to include New England, and he began working with the major retailers and wholesalers including Market Basket, Big Y, C&S, and Bozzuto’s. Gary continues to partner with retailers/wholesalers in New York and New England in the Dairy, Frozen, Grocery, and Pet Categories.
